careplans AI

A guide for families

This is your window into your family member's wellbeing check-ins — what Mary does, what you'll see, and what it all means.

What Mary does for your person

Mary is a friendly AI companion who phones your family member regularly for a short check-in — how they're sleeping, eating, feeling, what's on their mind. She's honest about being an AI, she never gives medical advice, and everything she notices goes straight to the care team. Calls are recorded with consent so nothing important is lost.

What an alert means (and doesn't)

An alert means the system flagged something for the care team — and they are already on it; urgent concerns page on-call staff automatically. It does not mean you're expected to act. If you've opted in to notifications, you'll get an SMS or email for concerns at the level you chose (Urgent / High / Medium). When in doubt, use Request a callback and the team will phone you.

The PIN portal (no account needed)

If you don't have a nonni account, your facility can give you a PIN for the family portal on careplans.io — a wellbeing summary and a callback-request button, no login required. The PIN is personal: don't share it.
